Note that the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965 AGN wireless adapter is meant to be professionally installed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technicians on certified systems only.

 

On regards to this adapter it is not meant to be sold separately, also your system must be compliant with the required FCC certifications in compliance with the International Special Committee for Radio Interference standards for radiated and conducted electromagnetic interference.

 

As per the description of your issue, we would recommend you contacting the Original Equipment Manufacturer (Compaq*) to determine if this product is approved for use in your computer.
