Well, there is a problem with the Dell R202961 driver for Vista x64.
The driver passess the "Drive verifier", and there are no "netwlv64.sys event 5010", but when I opened the reliability monitor, I have seen tons of Errors, the faulty application is WLANExt.exe and the reason because C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intel\WirelessCommon\TraceApi.dll, part of the driver mentioned before.
IMO, I prefer to have info events (the 5010) than reliability errors, with this in mind, my conclussion is that the best driver for Windows 8 is the included one with the system, the Microsoft one.
We can try to change the device energy settings and uncheck the "Allow to turn off..." option, it has solved many problems for other devices and other computers.
