Figured I'd share that Intel will reimburse everyone that is suffering from Centrino Wifi Card issues, should it seriously have taken a whole year?
Hello Mr. xxxxxxx:
Our engineers have been working ******* fixing many issues related to the Intel Wireless Network Card. Although we were able to fix many customers’ issues, we find that other issues are more challenging to root cause because of the complexity of other customers’ system configurations. In such cases we recommend that these customers refer to the system manufacturer or place of purchase as they are more familiar with their system configurations and of any potential compatibility issues.
We’ve been communicating the issue once we’ve discovered it either on the Intel Communities or through Tech Notes on the Intel Support site. In Addition, we have regularly posted updates on Download Center for Wireless Networking – http://support.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/proset-ws/sb/CS-034041.htm.
Thank you for providing additional information about the issue you are experiencing and we look forward to receiving logs from both Wireshark and our Wireless Reporting tool. Hopefully, this information can lead our engineers down the right direction in looking for a solution to your issue.
We will gladly refund your Intel product. Please refer to the manufacture for warranty requests for non-Intel products. If you wish to head down the “refund” path and or require additional technical assistance please feel free to contact Intel Customer Support at 916-377-7000 and reference your Intel Service Ticket # (8000651400). Of course, you may also contact me and I’ll help as best I can; but contacting Intel Customer Support would be the quickest way to obtain support as there are a multitude of people at our call center that can assist. As the holidays are approaching it may be a challenge for me to find engineers available immediately to assist us with your situation.
Regards,
Eric
