Follow-up to last post:
I installed the latest 64 bit drivers for Win7. I hibernated the system, and just as before, I get a "not connected" error upon restoring the session. Running the Windows troubleshooter resulted in a hard lock-up of the OS when the troubleshooter tried to reset the wireless adapter. I was forced to do a hard power cycle.
After rebooting, I still had the "not connected" error. Looking at the device manager, the 6235 was disabled. I re-enabled the adapter, and was able to connect to a wi-fi network.
To my mind, this latest driver exhibits even greater instability. If someone from Intel support wants to run some additional diagnostics, I'm happy to help. If I don't hear soon, I'm going to roll-back to the previous driver version, though.
Thanks,
